In his address to the University of Cambridge, Vice-Chancellor, Stephen Toope, recognized the lab's research as one of the university's top three achievements of the last year, alongside stem cell research and the discovery of ghost galaxies. We are extremely honoured to be mentioned in the speech and could not do our research without strong support from the university.

The VC stated;

"All of these discoveries made the headlines over the past twelve months.

All of them (and many more like them) were the result of relentless and inspiring work by our Cambridge colleagues, driven by curiosity and by the urge to interrogate our world."
