John completed a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at the Winton Centre for Risk and Evidence Communication and the Social Decision-Making Lab in the Department of Psychology at the University of Cambridge. He received his PhD in psychology from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, and holds a BSc(Hons) in neuroscience and a master’s degree in science communication, both from the University of Otago. His research interests include beliefs about debated scientific issues and the communication of scientific information to the public. He also has a keen interest in the role of science in policy-making and was a member of the inaugural Science Policy Exchange in New Zealand. After his postdoc, John has taken up a position at the University of Otago, Wellington in New Zealand
