Dr. van der Linden will be kicking off the Department of Psychology's Zangwill Lecture Series this term with a talk;

Inoculating Against Misinformation: On the Motivated Cognition of Facts and Expertise.

Dr. van der Linden will be speaking at the Cambridge Energy Research Initiative on the behavioural science of policy-incentives to reduce energy consumption.

Dr. van der Linden will be speaking about the psychology of climate change on a panel at the Magdalene College Festival of Change moderated by Prof Eric Wolff.

From contested numbers around Brexit to the perennial dubious health claims, we are constantly surrounded by people trying to support their arguments with facts and figures. The trouble is that data can be made to say almost anything, depending on how you present it.

Dr. van der Linden will be speaking on post-truth and fake news at the "Leonardo Da Vinci" Museum of Science & Technology during the oldest media festival in Europe, the Prix Italia Festival.

Dr. van der Linden has been invited to deliver the keynote address; "When Facts Fail" at the Niels Stensen Foundation this year in the Netherlands.

Dr. van der Linden has been invited to lecture on the Junior Researcher Summer School in Croatia. This year's theme is "Decisions: The Psychology of Choice" and Dr. van der Linden will be speaking about social norms.

Dr. van der Linden will be joining a panel with Dominic Abrams, Tom Hook, and Julia Unwin to talk about Social Cohesion during the CSAP annual conference at the Royal Society in London.  

The inaugural Cambridge Risk and Uncertainty Conference (RUC) will bring together world-leading scholars on risk and uncertainty communication and is scheduled to take place between June 12th-14th, 2017 in Cambridge, UK.

Dr. Sander van der Linden will be giving a talk at the Judge Business School on human altruism and prosociality.
