Dr. Sander van der Linden will join David Halpern (Chief Executive of the Behavioural Insights Team) and Jerome Ma (Dept. of Health) for a discussion on what it's like as a scientist to advise government on public policy at the Cambridge University Science and Policy Exchange (CUSPE).

Dr. Sander van der linden has been invited to give a Ted talk at TEDx Oxbridge this year about his research on how to bridge social and ideological divides.

In this talk, we will dive into the psychology of influence and explore ways in which fake news is currently shaping public attitudes and decision-making about fundamental societal issues.

Does climate matter for how we sanction norm violations? Does it matter for how often football coaches are replaced? And does it impact creativity? In this symposium, we discuss recent research addressing how and why climate may affect a culture of norm enforcement, innovation, suicide, and self-control.

Dr. Sander van der Linden has been awarded the Frank Prize in Public Interest Communications Research 2017 and will be featured in the "7 Minutes in Heaven with a Scientist" program @ Frank Scholar at the University of Florida.
